THE ROOT NINE RECORDS STORY …
Established in 2014, Root Nine Records embodies the outlet for some of Washington DC’s best blues, rock, soul, and folk music. After the initial release of the Blueheart Revival record ‘Stone Feathers’ in the summer of 2014, the label has gone on to release 6 subsequent full-length albums, along with various EPs and singles, both in physical and digital format.
Positioned in a modern music era that is ever-changing digitally, the label has found its place within an analog world that still preserves the original sound of blues and early rock ‘n roll. The philosophy of the label is to keep the sound as pure as possible, and to reach the audience with artistic authenticity and originality.
